INSTALLATION GUIDE: Installing GPADs to your existing seat is simple. There are several methods to accomplish the installation process. The two most common and popular methods are with spray adhesives, and with double-sided carpet tape. Most prefer double-sided carpet tape because it allows the repositioning of the GPADs, allows a set of GPADs to be moved from one seat to another, and carpet tape does not leave an adhesive residue on the seat or on the back of the GPADs. Double-sided carpet tape is also easy to remove from the back of the GPADs without leaving adhesive residue. Just about any double-sided carpet tape will work fine, however we suggest high-strength used for outdoor usage such as "Duck Products Fiberglass Indoor/Outdoor double-sided. If you decide to use a spray adhesive, we recommend 3M Super 77, 3M Super 80, or 3M Super 90. You can purchase these products at most home improvement and hardware stores. Some racers have had good results with industrial grade double-sided tape, high-grade velcro, silicone adhesives, and other industrial strength adhesives depending on whether a removeable, semi-permanent, or permanent installation is desired.
IMPORTANT: It is very important that you clean your kart seat with common household rubbing alcolhol (70% or 90% isopopryl) to completely remove any dirt or oil. It is also important to wipe down the backs of the GPADs with alcohol prior to applying carpet tape or spray adhesive. Always install to a kart seat that is already mounted to the kart. DO NOT DRILL HOLES THROUGH THE GPAD MATERIAL! Doing so will ruin the GPAD. STEP BY STEP INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS: CARPET TAPE: Follow these easy steps for installation using carpet tape. |

GPADs can be installed to a wide variety of kart seats, including standard (shown above left), and the Ribtect carbon fiber seats (shown above center). The rib pad must be trimmed as shown (above right) to be properly applied to the Ribtect seat rib area. Be carreful to cut only in between the yellow GPAD modules!
